One area that countless parents expressed opinions on our structuring of the pre-kindergarten age group and I think it is something that we should think about at park and rec
-Most parents would like to see pre-k return to the first time slot of the day
- Parents would like to see a change in the timing of the pre-k program. Two models were frequently brought up…either an 8-week program with 30-minute sessions or a 4-week model with 1-hour long sessions. I would tend to agree with these parents that our current model of 8-weeks with a 1-hour time slot is just too much for that age group even with frequent breaks built in.
Our Fall Soccer program is for North Attleboro residents in Preschool to grade 5.
Our eight (8) week soccer program features skills and drills and mini-games for 45 minutes each Saturdays. Soccer season begins on Saturday morning, September 6th and concludes on Saturday, October 25th. Soccer is held at Petti Field (located inside the WWI Park & Zoo) between the hours of 8 am and 1 PM. Teams and times will be assigned when registration closes. We will have one make up scheduled on November 1st if needed. Players in grades first and up will have one clinic a week (Tuesdays).
All players are required to wear shin guards. Team tee shirts will be provided for all registered participants.
Teams and age groups will be limited. Sign up today to avoid being placed on a waitlist.
League Set up
Pre K - children aged 4-5 years old, will be co-ed.
K - children in Kindergarten, will be co-ed.
1 & 2 - Children in grades 1 & 2, will be divided into separate leagues(if numbers allow).
3+4+5 - Children will be divided into a co-ed league.
