WWII Memorial Swimming Pool
    Swim lessons are taught twice a week for six weeks for children ages 3 and up.  Pre-K lessons with a parent or guardian are once a week.  Lessons are instructed by certified lifeguards (First aid and CPR in addition to life guarding certification). Each lesson has two instructors.
    Lessons are held at the WWII Memorial Swimming Pool in downtown North Attleboro. The two pools are outdoor pools.  Lessons are held on Mondays and Wednesdays (Saturday for Pre-K) mornings.  Lessons are only cancelled during heavy down pours and lightning.  
    If you are unsure which lesson to sign your child up for please call the office at 508 699-0145.  Lessons are for North Attleboro residents.

Lesson times may change due to registration. Days of lessons will not change.  

Small Pool (Beach entry three inches to three feet)
    Pre-K: With an adult. Games, songs, and toys highlight children's water exploration. 
    Level 1: Water adjustment, intro to kicking, scooping, and jumping to instructor.
    Level 2: Scooping, elementary backstroke, kicking. Children should have past lesson experience and no fear of the water.
    Level 3: Freestyle, elementary backstroke, rotary breathing.  They will advance to using the Big Pool through the summer.

Big Pool (Three fee to nine feet) 
    Level 4: Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, beginning diving, swimming the width of the big pool.
    Level 5+: Freestroke, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Sidestroke, diving, swimming the length of the pool.  More endurance is necessary.

SPP lessons are for Summer Playground Program participants only. Instructional lessons are held in the small pool and development are held in the large pool.
